An unexpected visitor

LTQ woke up and found himself in the same bed with Nhu Loan. It took him some time to recall of what happened the night before and why she was there. It suddenly felt so odd. She looked so peaceful for someone who's been through all the troubles that she went through. Minh Tuyet was right. He knew this face. This is the girl he had once loved.
"C'mon, wake up! It was years ago!" LTQ said warily. He did not intend to say that outloud.
"What was years ago?" Nhu Loan asked, rubbing her eyes sleepily.
"Uh... did I wake you up? Sorry."
"Duh! You said 'wake up! What time is it?"
He looked around. "Funny, there's no clock in here. And I don't have my watch with me."
"Kieu, what time is it?" Nhu Loan asked, her eyes still closed.
It was then when LTQ realized he was not in the room, and his bed was empty. Minh Tuyet was gone, too. In the bathroom there was no light and no sound of running water. Besides... why would Minh Tuyet and Bang Kieu be in the bathroom at the same time?
"Loey, wake up! Kieu and Tuyet are not here!"
"Did you just call me Loey?" Nhu Loan asked and sat up. Judging by the look on his face, LTQ didn't even seem to know if he did or not. "It's nothing. It's just that no one had called me that ever since I got out of high school."
LTQ remained silent. He couldn't think of anything to say. Dumbstruck.
"Bang Kieu and Minh Tuyet probably went to get some breakfast. Let's get ready and get down there." She said, getting out of the bed.
"Yea" Was all he can come up with.
Nhu Loan went into the bathroom, leaving him sitting alone on the bed.

Nhu Loan started to sing in the shower. She couldn't help it. She missed the stage already. And besides, she had always enjoyed singing while taking a shower. The noise of running water and her own voice separated her from the rest of the world. It seems like a day never went by without her singing. There was always a show somewhere. And now, who knows how long it will be before she gets back onstage?
Only when she got out of the shower did she know that someone was singing the same song outside in the room, too. Nhu Loan smiled. It felt like they were singing a duet. Though LTQ sounded different without the microphone--a lot different--she could care less.
Nhu Loan got dressed and ready quickly. She turned the doorknob and stepped out.

Nhu Loan was shocked to find out that the person singing wasn't LTQ. It was a guy dressed in black suit. He was facing the window and his face was turned away from her. There was about 6 men standing in the room, and 5 of them had their gun on LTQ, who was kneeling on the floor. Another one came out from behind her and put his gun to her head.
"Scream and I'll shoot your brains out." He said.
Nhu Loan became terrified and did as told. Tears began rolling down her face.
The singing ceased and the man turned around. He wore sunglasses that covered most of face but it was still possible to tell that this guy is just about her own age.
"Where is Bang Kieu?"
Nhu Loan opened her mouth to speak but no sound came out. She was simply too scared now.
"What makes you think we'll tell you?" LTQ replied.
The guy took out a gun and shot him in the leg. LTQ shrieked in pain as a smile spread across the young man's face. It was all a game to him. "That's what," he said, "Keep screaming. The room's soundproof."
He then turned to Nhu Loan, "Now tell me or else he's dead."
Nhu Loan swallowed hard, and whispered "I don't know..."
At the instant of her answer, he stepped hard on LTQ's wound with his feet, keeping his gun aimed at LTQ's head. "WHAT?"
"Please... I really don't know." Nhu Loan begged him with her eyes closed. She couldn't bare seeing the scene.
"Alright." He said and was about to fire as Nhu Loan screamed on the top of her lungs,
"He's at Minh Tuyet's house!"
The young man in black chuckled and approached Nhu Loan. He slapped her.
"Don't you DARE lie to me! My men had looked there already. There's no one."
"Have you looked in the basement?" She was a lot calmer now.
The guy was skeptical. He looked in her eyes, as if trying to see whether or not she was telling the truth.
"There's a basement?"
"Yes. I don't know exactly where but she told me about it once."
That was enough for him. He stood up straight and began to walk out of the room. "Kill 'em both."
They were about to fire as one of the men suddenly notice a red dot on his boss' head.
"SNIPER!" He yelled, as everyone, including himself, ducked the bullet. It missed the young men's head, into the wall.
"We've got company!" He said, the smile on his face dissapeared. "Let's go!"
Everyone ran out of the room, partly because of his order and mostly for their life, as two, three more bullets came breaking through the window. They ran like a bunch of chickens, knocking over everything on their way, including Nhu Loan. She went unconscious as her head hit hard against the wooden bed.
