Danger

The gang was glad to be back home. Mason City might be a mess but Korea was worse. So many things had happened on their trip. Everywhere they go, there is trouble. It's like a curse they can't get out of. After saying good byes, the five left the airport on their own. Minh Tuyet left on her limo. Bang Kieu and his son drove home in their car. LTQ offered Nhu Loan a ride but she refused and took a cab instead. Apparently, she still couldn't quite get over what happened during their trip.

(Minh Tuyet)

Minh Tuyet sank into her seat and took a deep breath. It felt good to be in a familiar place again. However, Minh Tuyet couldn't help but look around and be a little obnoxious. She noticed something that wasn't quite right about the limo. Stains on the seats. Jake, the limo driver, wasn't the kind who'd bring drinks into his car and spill it. Even if he did, he would always get them cleaned up. The guy was a neat freak.

"Jake, why are there stains on the se-"

Minh Tuyet couldn't finnish her sentence as the driver took a sharp turn and she had no choice but to fall to the side and hit her head hard on the door. This is the reason why one should always put on seatbelts. Minh Tuyet could worry about that later, though, because now she finally realized that the man who's been driving all this time isn't her driver. Worse, the road he just took isn't on her way home.

(Luong Tung Quang)

LTQ took the longer route home, the one that doesn't lead to downtown, where it would be impossible to move at this hour because of the traffic. Not many travel on this road, since it was bumpy and had many sharp turns. So even though it is the longer way home, it is the faster one.
He usually find himself alone on it, but this time there was another car. It had followed him ever since he left the airport. He slowed down, expecting the car to pass him. It didn't. He thought for a moment and considered the possibilities of what he can do.

LTQ decided to speed up and outrun the car. He pressed hard on the gas, and his car immediately sped up, leaving quite a distance between him and the other car. But it soon caught up with him. LTQ knew too well that at the end of the road there will be a very sharp turn, and he could only hope that the other driver didn't know the same thing. This would be his only chance to get rid of the unwanted follower.With one swift motion, LTQ did the sharp turn and was almost thrown off the road in the process.

The other car was running even faster than he was, and didn't see that there was a sharp turn ahead of him. He only had time to turn the wheel around once his car was hanging in midair after breaking the barrier and running off the cliff.

(Bang Kieu)

Bang Kieu stopped by a gas station on his way home to get Beckham some milk and candies, leaving Beckham sitting in the car by himself. As he was looking around, a big, tall man approached him from behind and tapped him on the shoulder. Bang Kieu turned around to see who it was and was greeted with a fist right in his face. It was such a strong blow that knocked Bang Kieu off his feet. He quickly got himself together and was about to fight back when the guy gave him a kick in the stomach that sent him almost flying across the room, knocking down shelves as he went. He took out a gun and was about to fire but Bang Kieu was faster. He got up and tackled the big guy down even before he had the chance to aim. The two men wrestled on the floor for the gun. But then someone hit Bang Kieu in the head with something very hard--a baseball bat. Despite the blow, Bang Kieu managed to reach for the gun and point it at the two attackers.

"Who are you people?" Bang Kieu asked, not really expecting a proper reply. He slowly took several steps back towards the door and began to feel dizzy as the warm stream of blood rolled down his face. He leaned against the door for support and was unaware of the cashier who had taken out his own gun and now was pointing it at him. Bang Kieu only realized it once the bullet was piercing its way through his flesh.

(Nhu Loan)

Nhu Loan arrived at her apartment, and was surprised to find that there was no light in LTQ's room. Surely he must have came back before her but there is no way the guy went to sleep already. He usually stays up very late and he had already slept during their entire trip back to Mason.

"Who cares," she told herself, trying to push thoughts of him off her mind. She couldn't help but look over to Minh Tuyet's mansion to see if there was any lights on. Apparently, she's not home either. The limo wasn't in the parking lot and there was no lights in the house. She suddenly felt angry and a bit jealous, though she couldn't accept the fact that she was. But what could two single human beings of opposite genders be doing at this time? Especially when one of them is named LTQ and one is Minh Tuyet? Nhu Loan walked away from the window and tried not to think about any of this anymore but all these thoughts keep coming back to her. The phone started ringing. It was coming from the police station.

Police: Are you Nhu Loan?

Nhu Loan: (thinking) Oh, what now? (speaking) Yes.

Police: A boy named Beckham with a badly injured man named Bang Kieu was found at this gas station. The little boy claimed that you were a close friend of his dad. Do you know them?

Nhu Loan: (shocked) Yes. What happened?

Police: Please come down to the police station-

Nhu Loan needed not to be told anymore. She took her purse and left the apartment in a hurry.
