(Somewhere far away)

"Yes, that's very good. You know I expect results this time. Don't dissapoint me." Jack said into his phone, then hung up. Next thing he felt was a cold, hard object against his face. He knew the feeling only too well.

Jack: Beretta 92...hm. Impressive, Kieu. Couldn't expect any less, though.

Bang Kieu: Hello, Jack.

Jack: How did you pass my men?

Bang Kieu: You mean this guy?

He held up a beaten up middle aged man by the collar, who gave a slight grunt. Jack looked at his guard in disappointment and then at Bang Kieu who threw him to the ground. As Jack watched his guard collasping and falling into a state of unconciousness, he grinned.

Jack: I underestimated you, Kieu. As always.

Bang Kieu: Now you will pay for it-

Jack: You know, it's funny that I just talked to a friend of mine. Mr. Gomez. I supposed you know him?

Of course he did. The killer. Nguyen Hung had told him about it and Bang Kieu himself spent days tailing the guy. Still, he made no reply to the question, but instead concentrate on keeping his finger on the trigger and his eyes on Jack.

Jack continued on while flipping his phone open. "He's out tonight to take care of some...fireworks for a party hosted by Mr. Aaron's company. Look... it's 8:53 already."

Jack paused, a faint smile spread across his wrinkled, weathered face. "And I think you should be interested in knowing that the show starts at 9:00?"

Bang Kieu: STOP PLAYING GAMES, Jack! What are you talking about?

Jack: There's still time.

(At the party)

After a while of dancing, Minh Tuyet and Aaron decided that it's time to find something to eat. Just when she had her plates ready and her forks in hand, the phone rang. Annoyed, she checked the Caller I.D. and found out it was Bang Kieu. Still mad from what happened last night, she didn't want to pick up but something told her she should take this call.

Minh Tuyet: What?

Bang Kieu: Tuyet, listen to me carefully. There is a bomb in the building. Get yourself and everyone out of there as soon as possible!

Minh Tuyet: There's a bomb?

A lady passed by overheard the word bomb, screamed out loud to the entire crowd that there's a bomb in the building. Minh Tuyet stood there as the room turned into chaos as everyone headed towards the exit in a hurry. Never had she ever witness jewelry-clad snobs acted so immaturely as people were jumping on top of each other like monkeys trying to escape from their cages. The crowd ran over some people who was either too slow or didn't have a clue of what was going on.

DTV: STOP! Everyone remain calm and stay where you are. We will exit this building in an orderly fashion!

Everyone stopped and looked at each other for a single moment before returning to panic mode and running over DTV.

(On the other line)

All Bang Kieu could hear through the phone was DTV's voice and then screamings.

"Tuyet? You still there?"

Though Minh Tuyet haven't hung up on him yet, there were no reply. Furious, he hit the smiling Jack square on the face with all his might.

"You sick bastard! Tell your man to turn off the bomb! NOW!"

Then he heard a loud scream over the phone and that distracted him from Jack for a split of a second.

(At the party)

LTQ was turning his head in every direction, looking for a sight of Loey. Where could she be, he thought. Desperate, he started asking people that ran past him, trying not to get ran over in the process. But in such situation, no one bothered to stop and listen, let alone answer his question. Finally, he caught a hold of DTV.

LTQ: Where's Loey?

DTV: I don't know! Still inside, maybe?

LTQ's face turned pale and he started running against the flow of the crowd, trying to get back inside.

(Outside the building)

Nhu Loan stopped to catch her breath. She's finally made it outside.

"Well, Quang, WE MADE IT!" She said happily and turns around to hug LTQ.

"Um...miss?" A unfamiliar voice asked.

Nhu Loan looked up to see that it wasn't LTQ all along, that she had grabbed the wrong person and haven't even looked back once to see that it wasn't him.

"Oh- Wait... if you're- then where's-" Nhu Loan quickly let go of the strange man. The next person that ran past her turns out to be DTV. Nhu Loan managed to stop him.

Nhu Loan: Vu! Where's Quang?

DTV: Loey! Um- you're not...inside?
