Shocked
After the others had left, Bang Kieu stayed and talked to Nguyen Hung. He didn't like the idea of leaving Mason City at all. He grew up here. His whole life had been centered around this city.
Nguyen Hung: Kieu, I know how much you love the city and your life here. Such rich history. But you've got to think about Beckham. About your friends. You know that if you stayed behind, Jack's gonna get you sooner or later, and then who knows, he'll find a way to your friends.
Bang Kieu: Is there no alternative? Can't we just leave for some time and come back later when everything settle down?
Nguyen Hung: For the others, maybe. But for you... do you think he'll really let you go? That things will just settle down? When I say you've got to leave, I mean leaving permantly. Leaving your life, your name, your career and never returning. If not, then you're not leaving at all.
Bang Kieu made no reply for a moment. He scratched his head in frustration, hoping that it will help him think, somehow. He finally gave up, throwing his hand in the air. "Whatever, screw the guy! I'll blow his brains out. I am not leaving."
For a split second, Bang Kieu swore he saw something that resembled a smile on Nguyen Hung's face.
"You know, that's not a bad option..."

Minh Tuyet and LTQ stood outside and exchanged a few words with DTV. What was meant to be a 1 minute conversation turned into a much longer one.
Minh Tuyet: God, why does this have to happen to me? My career's the only thing I have but then I-LOVE-my-life!
LTQ: STOP WHINNING! You're not the only one.
Minh Tuyet: Why does it matter to you? You got drafted. You're leaving anyways.
DTV: Oh yea, I forgot. Quang, about the drafting thing. I have my men to check on it. It's a mistake. You're not drafted.
LTQ: What?... Are you sure?
DTV: Yep. Certain of it.
LTQ: So all that training and shopping and getting prepared was for nothing?
Minh Tuyet: You stop whinning! You spent like a day or two getting prepare!
DTV: Well, on the bright side, you guys are now stuck in the same situation.
The two continued on arguing. Their situation had improved their reactions towards each other.

Nhu Loan stood in front of Jimmy's house. Something wasn't right. At the sight of his unlocked door, her instinct told her to run back to the cab and leave, but she couldn't. What if something happened to Jimmy and she could have stopped it?
She walked silently down the hall, towards the kitchen. There she saw a scene she'll never forget. There were two men in the kitchen. One was a tall man dressed in all black with blood all over his shirt and face. The other was lying on the floor, with his cold, lifeless eyes staring at Nhu Loan. She only know this man too well. Jimmy.

Her body seemed to have frozen right on the spot. Run, Loey! RUN! She told herself. But her body didn't listen to her anymore. She just stood there, wide-eyed and frozen to the ground--that is, until the man dressed in black turned around and realizes her presence.
As he made a sprint for her, she ran for her life. He chased her to the pool, where Nhu Loan lost her step and fell into the water. The man jumped in after her. He grabbed her violently, and with all his might, pushed her down and submerged her under the water.
Nhu Loan tried to scream but what sound could come out now that she is under water? The more she struggled for her life, the further away it seemed.
