Take a chance on me

Nhu Loan kindly thanked the nurse on her way out of the hospital. She was so excited when the doctors gave her the okay to leave and now she is able to go back home. Stopping by for some coffee, Nhu Loan was in high spirits almost to a point where she's practically dancing in the air. She made it to her apartment building and was heading up the stairs when she bumps into a guy, spilling coffee all over herself.

Nhu Loan looked up to see who it was that just ruined what, so far, had been the perfect day. It turns out to be LTQ.

LTQ: OH MY GOD! I am sorry miss, I hope I didn't-LOEY! you're back!

Nhu Loan: Oh, Quang! Hi! Um.. yea, I just checked out this morning. Where you goin'? What's the hurry?

LTQ: I was gonna come visit you.

There was a few minutes of silence.

Nhu Loan: So, um, I'll go change my shirt-

LTQ: Hey, do you wanna get some coffee? I mean right after you change of course.

Nhu Loan: Oh, sure! I'll be right out.

[15 minutes later]

Nhu Loan & LTQ was walking to the coffe shop at the corner of the street when they passed by a magazine stand that was filled with the latest edition of Juicy Magazine.

"Oh crap." LTQ exclaimed as he saw what was on the cover of the magazines. He then turned to the seller and asked, "I want to buy all the Juicy magazines that you have."

Nhu Loan: Quang! Are you crazy? Why do you need that many magazines?

LTQ: I better take care of this before Minh Tuyet comes out and see them. Look.

Nhu Loan looked at the cover, and there was a big picture of Minh Tuyet and LTQ being torn in half, with a headline that says, "No longer in love...career doomed."

Just when LTQ had handed the seller the money and about to take off with the stacks of magazine, they saw Minh Tuyet walking in their direction.

LTQ: Let's go the other way before she sees us!

Nhu Loan: What? Why?

Minh Tuyet: Loey! Hey!

LTQ: Oh Shoot.

Minh Tuyet rushed over to them, looking very content, and then glanced over in disgust at Quang who was holding a huge stack of magazines.

Minh Tuyet: Are you that desperate for money, paperboy?

LTQ: Um...yeah.

Minh Tuyet: Gosh Quang, there are other ways of selling out.

She quickly snatches an issue off the stack before LTQ and Loey can stop her as Minh Tuyet stared at the cover in horror. Nhu Loan and LTQ watched uneasily awaiting for her reaction. She took a deep breath and calmly replied " I guess this is just bad news."

LTQ: Wait, you're not mad?

She rolled up the magazine with great force and turned to him. Smacking him hard on his arm.

Minh Tuyet: OF COURSE I AM! WHY'D YOU THINK I'D DO? FORGET ABOUT IT? THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT! NOW WHAT AM I GONNA DO?

Before Minh Tuyet can continue on, her phone ranged and she calmly picked it up.

Minh Tuyet: Hello?

Marie: What the hell is going on? I didn't pair you two up so you can mess it up! What about the cd? Now I have to cancel it, all that money poured into it...GONE!

Minh Tuyet: I can assure you, everything will be taken care of.

She hangs up the phone and instantly turns to the frighten LTQ.

Minh Tuyet: THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT! THIS RELATIONSHIP IS SOOO OVER!

LTQ: What relationship? we barely do anything together.

MInh Tuyet: HELLO? THAT'S WHY IT'S YOUR FAULT! IT WAS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO KEEP THE PUBLICITY GOING TILL THE ALBUM IS FINISHED! BUT NO...ALL YOU WERE WORRIED ABOUT IS BEING WITH LOEY SO YOU CAN IMPRESS HER AND GIVE HINTS THAT YOU LIKE HER-

LTQ glared at her, Minh Tuyet stared in shock at what she just said, she clasp her hands over her mouth. She always talked about wanting to tell Nhu Loan that LTQ likes her but she never really dreamed of actually doing so. Not knowing what to do Minh Tuyet quickly walked away, leaving the two alone. LTQ looked down at his feet, too embarrassed to say anything. Nhu Loan looked at him with relief in her eyes.

Minh Tuyet rush back to her home and stood there for a moment. She felt so wrong about what she said. There was a knock on the door and she peered through the porthole, it's LTQ.

LTQ: It's me, Quang. I want to talk to you.

"Oh shoot, he's here to yell at me...wait you yelled at him...no that's different" she thought, but she thought she'll just face it and opened the door slowly.

Minh Tuyet: Just to let you know, I was not in a good condition when I said that and that whatever comes out of my mouth is mostly gibberish so-

Before she can say anymore, LTQ jumped in and wrapped his arms, she looked puzzled by the action and was wondering if he was trying to pull the same stunt she did earlier.

Minh Tuyet: Um...uh...

LTQ: Oh thank you! thank you! I was so afraid that she won't like me again but it turns out...SHE DID! WHOO HOO! I'm also taking her to Aaron's party!

Minh Tuyet: Um...you're welcome, I guess?

LTQ: Catch you later!
